Assistance with Section 21
CannhealthMD assists with the registration and approval for MP/HCPSA member doctors to Prescribe by Section 21 mandates of the authority of SAHRPA.

Named Patient Program
Section 21 Registered members can request administrative assistance with the Named Patient Program to get their patient’s prescriptions processed.
Registration criteria
Any Doctor or Practitioner registered with the HPCSA (Health Professional Council of South Africa) can be privy or access the CannhealthMD Doctors Portal. This includes Specialists e.g Anaesthetist, Psychiatrist, Clinical Psychologist, Physician, General Practitioners, and others.
This portal can also be a point for pharmacist to gain more insight or who wants more information to be able to council patients in that event they must be registered with the SAPC (South African Pharmacy Council).
In order for CannhealthMD to verify legitimacy of applications, by law they must use their MP number (Medical Practice Number) given to them by the HPCSA.
Cannabis is not yet designated as a registered medication in South Africa and as such, any prescription of medical cannabis must be done in terms of the Section 21 Access to Unregistered Medicines.
