  1. Oh, the CDC says 1479 lung injuries from e-cigarettes. And we should assume the CDC is genuinely concerned about public health? – The same CDC with the revolving door of execs to/from Big Pharma? Yeah, “be sure to get all your shots!”
Although vaping is likely not harm free, (I’m not dismissing possible adverse side effects of vaping), it’s certainly a viable avenue of escape and far better alternative from the vastly more harmful result of cigarette smoking! Personally, I don’t use either.
Also, consider the powerful tobacco lobby groups which see vaping as a clear threat to their industry. I smell a political rat and they want the government to step in and control their competitor.

  2. Big tobacco, is setting this all up, paying off the Dr, So much Money is being lost to vaping. Plus CANCER is a big money maker. If it was not, the Government would stop all smoking. But then what would they do with all the cancer Dr's, and cancer clinics? We all know big tobacco are paying off the government, all the lobbyists.

  3. I have been a smoker for 20 years, got copd,, been vaping now for 5 years, COPD is gone and the test done at the hospital for breathing showed a vast difference. That's all I have to say, my Dr is happy and so am I. Thank you, Hugs and Love

  4. Classic example how much influence the tobacco and pharmaceutical industry has on the government. Everyone knows cigarettes are monstrously much much dangerous, so why not ban cigarettes? One very good example on how much influence these industries have on the government was after 9/11 they banned numerous amount of things on all flights INCLUDING lighters.
Funny enough the tobacco industry was complaining about people not being able to smoke after flights so the government lifted the ban on lighters. This is ALL business and has nothing to do with anyones welfare. The more and more people turn the vaping is less and less customers for the tobacco industry. Disgusting government…

  5. So skeptical from Al Jazeera! Why have been some of my discussions here with a fellow commenter DELETED? What's the point of asking for opinions from viewers in the first place? There's no point of an open discussion in the media anymore I suppose. Just so unprofessional 😐

  6. The THC that is used is a 'concentrate' of cannabis, hence it is called the concentrates industry. Problem is if the cannabis used isn't organic or at the least very clean and fungicide/ pesticide free. As well as the potential harm from PGR's (plant growth regulators). You are 'concentrating' any contaminants down into the stuff they then liquidize. Some of these are very dangerous. My money would be on this as a cause.

  7. DON'T HEAR THEM THEY ARE PAID BY BIG TOBACCO COMPANIES. I STOP SMOKING FROM 2015 WITH VAPING. MY HEALTH IS BETTER THAN EVER. VAPING IS THE ONLY WAY IF YOU CANT QUIT SMOKING ALONE AND AFTER SOME TIME YOU CUT THE NICOTINE SLOWLY (9MG/ML TO 6 MG/ML TO 3MG/ML AND THEN 0MG/ML) AND FINALLY YOU CAN EVEN QUIT VAPING IF YOU WANT. I AM NOW ZERO NICOTINE AND IF I CHOOSE I CAN QUIT IT EASILY. I AM SO HAPPY TO SAY THAT I FEEL FREE, TOBACCO IS LIKE A DRUG, WHEN YOU ONLY QUIT IT YOU CAN UNDERSTAND. V A P I N G S A V E S L I F E S !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. it's funny how so many people switch to vaping to quit smoking but are still vaping months later. it's not helping people quit it's just introducing a new nicotine delivery systems.

  9. I'm more interested in knowing if there are some dangers in second hand vaping the same way there is in second hand smoking. It's really selfish of people to expose other people who don't vape or smoke to second hand vape/smoke when they don't want it.

  10. Facts:
    – we know the cause of the "mysterious lung injury" is tainted THC cartridges –> we know this because nowhere else has this disease been observed despite the millions of people vaping flavored eliquids throughout the world ( https://www.aafp.org/news/health-of-the-public/20191007thcvaping.html )
    – distinction has to be made when talking about vaping, same distinction when talking about drinking coffee and drinking alcohol –> nicotine vaping and THC vaping are not the same at all, not the same products
    – the Royal College of Physicians, which is compromised of 36 000 international medical experts, through various studies and research, has deemed nicotine vaping 95% less harmful than combustible cigarettes –> https://www.rcpe.ac.uk/sites/default/files/jrcpe_48_4_mathur.pdf
    – vapes were not "discovered", but created by smokers for smokers to have a less harmful alternative to combustible cigarettes when not being able to quit –> it is just an alternative like the patches, the gums etc…
    – once a lung is injured, it is vulnerable to anything, whether that be vaping nicotine or just breathing in polluted air (which California is infamous for)
    – governments and health officials in the EU actually encourage smokers to use nicotine vapes as a method to quit combustible cigarettes, in the UK there are even vape shops in hospitals, with no illness –> https://edition.cnn.com/2019/09/17/health/vaping-us-uk-e-cigarette-differences-intl/index.html
    – even after 100 years of vaping, some people will still state that it's not safe enough –> the same arguments were made in the US by people in favor of Prohibition
    – flavors are critical to smokers switching to vaping –> doctors do not suggest an alcoholic trying to get sober should drink whisky or vodka flavored water, when should people trying to quit smoking have to keep that tobacco taste from which they are trying to get away from?
    – flavors have nothing to do with the youth vaping –> https://athra.org.au/blog/2019/10/07/is-there-really-an-epidemic-of-youth-vaping/
    – flavors exist for FDA approved nicotine replacement therapies such as gums or lozenges –> if flavors only appeal to the youth, then is the FDA trying to hook kids on nicotine through those products?
    – vaping nicotine is twice as likely to get a person to quit smoking than the traditional methods (gum, patches, lozenges etc…) –> https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa1808779

  11. Remind me again… how many people die daily from the medical treatments of their physicians due to physician accidents, mistakes, intentionally corrupted science, negligence & sloppy healthcare? And how many patients die from the medications they are prescribed by their doctors that are made by Billionaire Pharma Corps in the USA (Corporation's that give physicians cash & perks). Give me a break! I've had 2 physicians & one minor emergency clinic almost kill me. Did any of them care about me & what they did…? No!!! Did they have my best interest at heart or apologize for what they did…? No!!! You cannot fool me with your malarkey anymore. I tell everyone who will listen about what you do/ have done & the legal corruption physicians and others higher up in your chain of command get by with. You know what I'm taking about, so get off your high horse & take a good hard look at what yourselves, what you're doing & why you're doing it ($$$). We are Americans, not your cash-cow-slaves to be milked daily & then ordered about & micromanaged!

  12. If we have to stop everything "bad" or slightly bad then you can have no more wine, beer or grain alcohol either. We know the damage they do, but the vast majority who indulge in it would never agree to give it up!!! You are hypocrites!

  13. Leave us alone & stop trying to micromanage evey single thing we do!!!! If you take vaping away we WILL go back to smoking cigarettes. If you force people to stop vaping against their will & they go back to smoking cigarettes & that alone proves to us that in reality you actually care nothing about us. Giving us info is one thing, trying to control the population is another. It's about control, politics & the power trips that are craved by those in power (especially physicians & politicians).

  14. Vapers often defend themselves and their right to vape yet also often think they have the right to blow that shit over us and our kids. I think also most vapers act like many addicts and cling on to their habits so desperately that that in itself is alarming.

  15. What’s the point of having experts if the presenter in yellow keeps interrupting them … That’s some dose of Verbal diarrhea she has going on there 🤭

  16. I hope vaping isn't a risk to health especially for young people as many teenagers 16-25yo's are trending to vaping. The New Zealand government plans to make our country smokefree by 2025, tobaaco products including cigarettes will be illegal in New Zealand and not sold anywhere so any tourists to our country will have to be vapers not smokers as you won't be able to bring your smokes into the country.

  17. I've been smoking cigarettes daily since I was 14, I am now 30. I switched to vaping three months ago and haven't looked back. Yes we don't know all the facts but it is definitely less harmful than smoking. I also don't smell like an ashtray anymore.
